Things You Should Probably Know, Because I Say So

So I’ve been playing Fallout: New Vegas, and I’ve stumbled upon a companion I’ve NEVER seen anyone mention. I frequently see lots of love for characters like Arcade, Boone, Rex, and Raul, but never ANY for Veronica. She’s a smart, motivated, pro-active and well written character with a LOT of charisma and I never see anyone acknowledge her. What a shame, since I’m a big fan of her.

The girls are never mentioned because everyone on Tumblr likes doodz lewl.
Veroniqua and Gay Doctor-Researcher Man are my two favorites, however.

She’s also pretty central to the BoS quests. How anyone can play the game without coming across her I dunno.

The thing about this game… it is so huge. I was already at or near the max level back tracking for things I’d missed before I ever stumbled upon the location where you meet Veronica. Depending on how you play it is a spot you’ll likely either go pretty early on, or skip and never see. The open-worldness of Fallout is one of the many things I love so much. The few times they create artificial closedness are very frustrating. If I’d waited for the bug-fixing updates before buying New Vegas like I did with the first Fallout 3, it possibly would have been the best 200+ hour investment of my life.
Can’t wait for Skyrim. And by wait, I mean like 6-9 months after it is out :[ I’m not putting myself through the frustration of another signature Bethesda new release title experience again.
