Things You Should Probably Know, Because I Say So

Filed under: Covers way better than the original artist.

I have friends that must see this.

I cannot believe I’m actually doing this. Buying the song, adding it to my jogging playlist.

EASILY one of my favorite videos of the year so far.

WeWereMonkeys : Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks

“Five sky-sailors discover a crystal meteor containing a lost mythical female creature. An epic journey through fantastical worlds ensues as the sailors struggle to return her to her people.”

SO CUTE AND AND ALSO KINDA PERTINENT.

What a cool video.

Great video and song. Looks like they have a new album coming out tomorrow. (which includes this song, previously on an EP)

Invincible, Xelle

It’s like Katy Perry’s Fireworks, but without titties on fire.

Port Hope, Evening Hymns

Cute

Sera Cahoone - “Baker Lake”

The actual Baker Lake is near where I live! I have seen her name around (she just played my favorite bar in Bellingham a month or two ago) but never listened. Turns out she’s from Seattle and played drums with both Carissa’s Wierd and Band of Horses - I like it!!!!

“Hietsuki Bushi” by Omodaka, featuring vocals by enka singer Akiko Kanazawa, from the new album Sanosa. Eric linked me to this video this morning and I basically can’t believe how amazing this track is. Who knew traditional Japanese music and chip tracks could go so well together? Who knows how many times I’m going to listen to this today?

For your daily dose of WTF.

You want sandwich, You want love, You want everything, You want bug.
