Re-drawn ‘Two Rooms and a Boom’
I decided to draw my own version of the print and play game Two Rooms and a Boom*. I haven’t actually played it yet but I’ve been obsessed with it, ever since I heard it described on the Shut up and Sit Down podcast here.
The game looks SO COOL, and ELASTIC, and it can play with OVER THIRTY PLAYERS! Here’s an example of its play.
I wanted to print a copy of the game with art and roles that were sweeter and more gender neutral. Some elements of the official print-and-play version had things that I wasn’t comfortable giving my friends to play (like, the image on the ‘Nurse’ card was just the torso of a model wearing a halloween sexy nurse costume. Why!)
The game has recently been kick-started for a professional printing and it looks like it’s going to be all re-designed, which is great! In the meantime I’m having a good time re-drawing the whole thing. I think that I only have like 80 more to draw, then I’ll post a pdf of the whole thing somewhere.
Haha I mean, I haven’t played it yet. First I’ll play it, and then I’ll see if I’m going to draw 80 more cards.

Unit Classes concept.
Some time ago (like a few months back), I made a paper prototype for a strategy game. Recently, I’ve found time to make concepts for the character classes for that strategy game.
Yeah. ‘Think I’m gonna try putting more not-fan-art on my blog. ‘Doesn’t mean I’ll stop doing fan art, but my blog’s gotten a bit fan-arty…
