Perspective is a really tricky thing. Usually I look at my arms and think, “damn, still so skinny”. Sometimes at the right angles I can see the progress.
As an added bonus, the gym is virtually empty during exams :D

Been slowly working up with the weights. Almost happy with the arms, so I guess it’s time to start figuring out how to better target the chest and abs.
Oh yeah, and the beard is trimmed! Almost ready for summer ;)

Screw you. I am done braiding people’s hair. Do you know how many braids I have done today?
And I don’t even get a “Hey Satan how’s it going your cloven hooves look fabulous today” it’s just “Braid it. Go.”
This is true for beards too. Pro: You can half way see your beard without a mirror. Con: It’s beard hair, good luck.
My costume for actual Halloween (at work) is 99% less effort than what I made for the Halloween party. I’m pretty sure wearing chain-mail in a library is frowned upon.

I feel like it’s update time.
Apparently I’m going to GenCon! Today! My boyfriend’s brothers go every year. Originally we decided not to go, but thanks to a booking mistake his brothers got a free upgrade to a large suite so it just costs us gas and registration. And this might be the only year we get to go given Brian’s line of work (which makes August a really bad time for vacations).

And this beard is going to go, soon, I’m thinking it’ll be September 1st since that’ll be two years since I started it. Probably won’t do a clear cut, since I really don’t like the way it looks though I’m always curious to see how all the weight change effects it…
Maybe I’ll just trim the sides and take off an inch at a time so people don’t freak out.
Summer is winding down, so I’m starting the process of bulking up to see if I can speed up muscle gain a bit. (aka, I’m eating real lunches, snacking, idgaf dessert). At my lowest last fall I was dipping below 150, I was only able to get down to 160 for summer (which is OK, I was hoping to get a bit more cut though).
I’d started with an additional 30g of protein a day over a month ago so my daily intake should be over 100g easily. It is hard to get into the mindset of not freaking out as my weight goes up.
