The Black Hole is AMAZING :)

Always good to get a review from a vetted source :D I’ll have to figure out the best way to get ahold of it. Not on Netflix at the moment. Looks like there is a remake on the way too.

When they said it might sing, this wasn’t exactly what I had in mind.

I think my dinner is possessed.

YOU DID THE DEVIL’S WORK, I TELL YOU.

In your opinion, what are the two most underrated Disney (or Disney/something) movies?

1. Flight of the Navigator, I mean hands down it is pretty much the perfect time-capsule piece for the Mid-70’s and Mid-80’s. Despite being highly…

I am, perhaps, younger than you think - I was born in 1980. I have only seen FotN once.

I was born in 1979, so not too far off. I just remember it coming on one night when “The Wonderful World of Disney” was still a thing.

I’m a bit curious to watch this thing I’d never heard of before until a few weeks ago: Disney’s The Black Hole… but judging by the trailer I’m can imagine why I’ve never heard of it before.

The cold comfort of Hyper Light Drifter

I’m drifting up a mountain made of pixels, climbing an ascending maze of brightly-colored craggy cliffs against a melancholy chiptune soundtrack.

I’m playing Hyper Light Drifter, the upcoming action role-playing game from indie developer Heart Machine. The game is a love letter to retro SNES games, all the way down to the comforting old-school soundtrack with its minimalistic tones. Hyper Light Drifter is somewhere between thatgamecompany’s Journey, Studio Ghibli film Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and a game pulled straight out of the 90s.

Beyond excited for this game.

Here is a sketch comic I made called Ducks, in five parts.
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
Part Four
Part Five
Ducks is about part of my time working at a mining site in Fort McMurray, the events are from 2008.  It is a complicated place, it is not the same for all, and these are only my own experiences there.  It is a sketch because I want to test how I would tell these stories, and how I feel about sharing them.  A larger work gets talked about from time to time.  It is not a place I could describe in one or two stories.  Ducks is about a lot of things, and among these, it is about environmental destruction in an environment that includes humans.  Thank you for taking the time to read it.

I like how the last two panels (of Part Five) pretty much sum up how I feel right now.

A Disney Movie Question

rebelsheart:

In your opinion, what are the two most underrated Disney (or Disney/something) movies?

1. Flight of the Navigator, I mean hands down it is pretty much the perfect time-capsule piece for the Mid-70’s and Mid-80’s. Despite being highly dated, it still stands up pretty well as a movie.

2. Lilo and Stitch gets panned a lot, It’s not doomed to obscurity like so many other non-princess Disney movies, but quite honestly it is my favorite and I’d like to see them do more with it at Disney World than the one really lame ride.

Honorable mentions: Bed Knobs and Broomsticks, The Rescuers

Vintage Eye Candy Vote: The Light in the Forest

LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN THIS IS AMAZING

this is a remix of happy where the vocals are kept the same, but the instrumental part of it is completely different and really transforms the song

I like this much better than the Radio Version.

The clock is a reference to the TV show Hannibal actually. It makes sense if you've seen it. :p

Ah, I’m currently watching Will and Grace and the second season of the Dr. Who reboot if that gives any indication on how up on TV I am :/
